Hi There-

I just had a question about echinacea and goldenseal. It seems to me, that both are basically the same thing, as far as what they do. I'm sure I'm wrong, but it just seems that they are really close to doing the saame things. Is this true?

I just starting taking echinacea for it's immune boosting powers and would like to start taking goldenseal as well, as I have read this to be good for yeast syndrome. Is it safe to take both together, or could I use one that would do both? I have also read that you should "Only" take both two weeks at a time and than stop for two weeks. Is this true and again, is ok to take both together?

Echinacea and golden seal are not used as part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, so are a little out of my purview. I would invite you to send a query to our naturopath, also on the alternative medicine channel, who is an expert in these matters!
